RAIN-INN is convened by Dr. Olusola Ayoola, founder of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Nigeria (RAIN), which operates training facilities, research centers, and product development programs.
While RAIN offers paid professional training and certification, RAIN-INN was created to provide a community for those who wish to learn, collaborate, and build solutions but may not be able to access formal training programs.
This community brings together Nigerians and Africans from universities, polytechnics, secondary schools, companies, government agencies, NGOs, and the diaspora—all interested in using AI and robotics to solve real-world problems.

No, RAIN-INN membership is completely free. The community was specifically created to be accessible to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay for formal training programs.
Clusters are sector-specific groups within RAIN-INN (e.g., healthcare, oil & gas, education, sports) where members discuss problems in their field and identify AI/robotics solutions. When skill gaps are identified, cluster members can access RAIN training to build the necessary capabilities.
Hackathons are regular collaborative events where community members work together to build solutions for real-world problems. Summits are annual gatherings where we showcase achievements, set research agendas, network, and establish focus areas for the coming quarter or year.
Ambassadors represent RAIN-INN in their institutions, coordinate local activities and events, and serve as the communication bridge between community members at their institution and RAIN headquarters. They help ensure the community thrives at the grassroots level.
